Dr. Didier Bonnet

 

​A true global citizen, disruptive thinker and digital optimist, Didier believes that digital & AI technologies are having a profound impact on individuals, businesses and society. Didier was a precursor in anticipating the scale, and the likely transformational impact of the digital revolution that is sweeping through our economies. Looking forward, Didier believes that future phases of digital & AI technology adoption will make everything that’s happened so far look like a prelude.

Didier is Professor of Strategy & Innovation at IMD Business School in Switzerland. At IMD, Didier teaches senior executives and board members in several open and custom programs on digital & AI transformations. Didier’s research interest is at the intersection of technology and business, with a focus on strategy development, digital economics, platforms, artificial intelligence, the future of work as well as the process of large-scale digital & AI transformation for global corporations.

Didier has over 30 years’ experience consulting and advising boards and leadership teams of large global organizations make the shift to the new digital & AI economy. He was the Digital Transformation global practice leader at Capgemini Invent and the Global Leader of the Telecom, Media & Entertainment practice at Gemini Consulting. He started his career in high tech, economic advisory and strategy consulting. Didier was voted “Global Digital Leader of the Year 2018” (CDO Conclave), one of the “Top 20 Digital Transformation Leaders to Follow” and a “Top 10 Global Thought Leaders & Influencers on Digital disruption” (Thinkers 360).

Didier is widely published in academic and practitioners’ journals, as well as the author of three books. He is frequently quoted in the press, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and The Economist. He also regularly provides commentary for broadcasters such as the BBC, CNN, Reuters and CNBC. Didier graduated in business economics from a French “Grandes Ecoles” and earned his Doctorate from New College, University of Oxford. He is based in London, UK and Lausanne, Switzerland.
